ARFID FOOD TRACKER · BETA
I built it to help parents manage the chaos that lives in your brain trying to keep track of safe foods.
Built by a web developer who is also a mom of a child with ARFID.

What parents are actually dealing with
When my son was first diagnosed, I was keeping a mental checklist that seemed to constantly be changing. I have pictures of him eating quesadillas with guacamole that he won’t touch now. And when I’d try to explain this to family members, I’d get, “Just don’t keep the bad stuff in the house and he’ll get hungry enough to eat what you put in front of him.” What they didn’t understand is that a child with ARFID will actually starve themselves before eating something that doesn’t feel safe.
Even something as simple as a strawberry feels like a gamble — one might be sweet, one might be sour, and that unpredictability is genuinely distressing. Processed foods feel safe partly because they’re consistent. Same texture, same flavor, every single time.

A tool built from experience
Hi! I'm Jennifer Dawson
I'm a Minnesota based a web developer and the mom of a kid with ARFID. I built this because I needed it. I had a good team, but I was still carrying the mental load of tracking everything myself. This app is what I wish I’d had when we were in the thick of it. It stores everything on your phone: no accounts, no cloud, no data going anywhere.
Before public Launch
Looking for a few families to try it at first
I’m working with a small number of OT clinics to get this into the hands of real families before public launch. If you have patients whose families might benefit, I’d love to offer them full access free for one month through Apple’s TestFlight beta program. No App Store required — just a link and a phone.
All I ask in return is honest feedback through a short anonymous form. No names, no pressure, no obligation beyond trying it and honest feedback.
